Environmental neutrality

Environmental neutrality has been a focus in the development of progressive and trend-setting continuous metallization processes. The development of a continuously processing coating system has lead to a considerable increase of component-related power efficiency.

The actual coating procedure is emission free, withouht any waste or air pollution.
In contrary to electroplated coating processes, PVD is completely chromium(VI) and nickel free.
Use of elementary metals only.

Due to the extremely thin layers (80 - 400 nm), PVD-coated components are not considered as special waste. Despite their optically metallic character, they are fully recyclable. Considering e.g. more severe regulations for automotive disposal, this is an important step for future process development.
