Hartec starts for the new Challenger AMP1 pilot facility.

Hartec blazes the PVD technology trail with construction of the new Challenger AMP1 pilot facility. This facility will first target development of decorative and functional PVD technology in automotive and vehicle exterior components. The system creates sample parts in production conditions. Development of the Challenger AMP1 facility is a joint effort by technology leading partners in UV coating, paint application, UV curing and PVD industries. This alliance provides future mass production PVD customers access to expertise and the latest processing techniques in one complete facility. The Challenger AMP1 facility is supported by automotive manufacturers and tier 1 suppliers to further cost effective, environmentally friendly metallization technology. Continued safety improvements and the latest aesthetic designs are being developed for vehicle exteriors in this state of the art pilot facility.
